Our work in De Soto

Junk removal in DeSoto doesn't need to be a weekend project you keep pushing to next month. Junk Genius has been hauling furniture, appliances, garage loads, and everything in between for about 15 years, and the crew that shows up to your DeSoto property is the same crew that's earned a 4.9-star rating across 1,987 Google reviews. Call (612) 444-5865 today for a free estimate and we can often have someone out the same week.

We serve the DeSoto area as part of our broader Twin Cities metro coverage, and we know what cluttered garages and packed basements in this part of Minnesota actually look like. Old fridges, mattresses left by previous owners, a couch nobody's sat on in years, a garage full of stuff from an estate situation: we've loaded all of it. If you're not sure whether we take something, call us. The answer is usually yes.

Why DeSoto Calls Us

The Junk in Your DeSoto Home Is Costing You More Than Space

Clutter compounds. The longer it sits, the harder it gets to deal with it alone.

A cluttered garage in DeSoto isn't just an eyesore. It's the thing that stops you from parking inside when it's ten below in January. It's the reason you can't find the tool you need, the box from the last move you never unpacked, the broken treadmill someone was definitely going to fix. None of that stuff is getting lighter or more useful on its own. Junk Genius exists because most people don't need a dumpster or a donation hotline or a hauling app. They need someone to show up, assess the situation, and make it disappear. That's what we do. We don't subcontract the job to whoever's available that morning. The team you book is the team that comes.

What We Haul

Full-Range Pickup for DeSoto Properties

One call handles the whole list, not just the easy stuff.

Furniture Removal

Sofas, sectionals, bed frames, dressers, dining sets. If it's bulky and you can't move it yourself, we load it and haul it.

Appliance Removal

Old refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves. We handle refrigerator recycling and removal responsibly so it doesn't end up in a landfill when it doesn't have to.

Garage and Attic Cleanouts

Decades of accumulation, cleared in hours. Our crew handles attic cleanouts and garage loads of every size, including the stuff in the back corners you've been ignoring.

Electronics and Computer Recycling

Old monitors, printers, computers, and other e-waste get routed to proper recycling, not the curb. See our computer monitor removal and recycling service for specifics.

Yard Debris and Outdoor Junk

Brush piles, old lumber, broken patio furniture, the hot tub nobody's used in years. We handle yard debris removal and bulky outdoor items in one trip.

Commercial Cleanouts

Office furniture, storage overflows, retail buildout debris. If your DeSoto business needs a cleanout, we work around your schedule.

How It Works

Three Steps from Cluttered to Clear

We keep the process simple because complicated logistics are the last thing you need when you're already managing a cleanout.

The Junk Genius Difference

What 1,987 Reviews Actually Tell You

A 4.9-star average across nearly 2,000 Google reviews doesn't happen by accident. It happens because crews like Sosa, Diego, Lester, and the rest of the team treat every job like the customer is watching, because the customer is always watching. Diane Hansmeier put it plainly: 'Lester and Isaiah were friendly, respectful of the space, and incredibly efficient.' Riley Jay bought a house where the seller left behind an old fridge and multiple mattresses: 'They were able to work with me to get it done fast and affordably.' That's the standard we hold every DeSoto job to. Mike Reimann, founder and Chief Junk Officer, has been running this crew for about 15 years under MN License #3772090-2. His name is on the business. That accountability doesn't exist when you call a national franchise.

FAQs

Questions About Junk Removal in DeSoto

How quickly can Junk Genius schedule a pickup in DeSoto?

Most DeSoto jobs get scheduled within the same week of calling, and same-day pickup is sometimes available depending on crew schedules. Call (612) 444-5865 in the morning for the best chance at a same-day or next-day slot. We're open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., so weekend availability isn't a problem if that works better for your schedule.

What items do you pick up from DeSoto homes that curbside service won't take?

Standard curbside garbage service in the DeSoto area won't take large appliances, furniture, mattresses, electronics, hot tubs, or construction debris. Those are exactly the categories we specialize in. An old refrigerator sitting in your garage, a sectional sofa that won't fit in a dumpster, a pile of carpet pulled during a renovation: all of that is a normal pickup for our crew. If you're unsure whether we take something specific, just call and ask.

How does Junk Genius price a DeSoto junk removal job?

Pricing is based on the volume your items take up in the truck, assessed on-site before we start. The crew quotes you a number in person after seeing the job, and you decide whether to proceed. We won't quote you a low number over the phone and adjust it upward once we arrive. Every job is different. Contact Junk Genius for an accurate estimate.

Do you handle full garage cleanouts for DeSoto properties, or just single items?

Both. Single-item pickups like a couch or a dryer are common, and so are full garage cleanouts that take a crew a few hours to clear. DeSoto garages in older homes especially tend to accumulate years of mixed items: tools, furniture, boxes, broken appliances, yard equipment. We load all of it in one trip rather than making you sort it into categories beforehand. Check out our bulk pickup options if you're dealing with a large volume situation.

What happens to items Junk Genius picks up from DeSoto?

Usable furniture and household goods go to local charity partners when possible. Appliances and electronics are routed to certified recycling facilities rather than a landfill. The crew is trained in recycling management and waste management safety, so disposal isn't an afterthought on our end. We donate and recycle as much as we can whenever possible. What ends up as waste is what genuinely has no other responsible destination.

Can Junk Genius help with an estate cleanout in DeSoto?

Yes, and estate situations are some of the most common jobs we handle. Inherited properties, homes being prepared for sale, situations where a family member's belongings need to be cleared out quickly: all of that falls under what we do. Our estate cleanout services page has more detail on what a full-property cleanout looks like and what to expect from the process. It's a lot easier than most people expect when the right crew shows up.
